Red Deer Smiles was created as an extension of Blackfalds Smiles, bringing the same doctors, systems, and clinical approach to a second location. What began in Blackfalds has grown to include a clinic here in Red Deer.
Our clinic is equipped with modern technology that supports more precise diagnostics and efficient treatment, helping reduce guesswork and improve outcomes. Just as importantly, we focus on how your care is delivered, with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail at every step.

Dr. Mason Kim
Dr. Mason Kim was raised in Blackfalds and has a strong connection to the community he now serves. Before pursuing dentistry, he studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta and worked in the field, developing a detail-oriented and hands-on approach that continues to influence his clinical work today. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota and has since practiced in both Strathmore and Calgary, gaining experience across a wide range of treatments before returning home to practice. Dr. Mason is focused on providing thorough, well-planned care and takes pride in helping patients feel informed and confident in their treatment. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking, golf, and travelling, and values time spent with his wife and their dog, Benny. He has also participated in volunteer dental work abroad, including a trip to Guatemala where he provided care to underserved communities.

Dr. Justin Kim is a certified orthodontic specialist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. He completed both his Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at the University of Alberta, where he later returned to complete a three-year graduate orthodontic specialty program.
Before specializing, Dr. Justin practiced as a general dentist in High River, gaining valuable experience that continues to inform his comprehensive approach to treatment planning. His focus is on delivering precise, well-structured orthodontic care using modern techniques and a thoughtful, patient-first approach.
Dr. Justin is committed to staying current with advancements in orthodontics and takes pride in creating treatment plans that are both effective and tailored to each patient’s needs.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, hiking in the mountains, and golfing.
